Soninké Jewelry is made by hand using ancestral techniques by Indonesian Artisans in Bali. This technique of woven metal wire was prominent during the 19th century in the creation of jewels and adornments for royalty by local high-craft jewelry-makers using threads of pure gold. Each jewel is unique, the same model can be produced a hundred times without being exactly the same as the previous because each artisan adds their own touch of creativity to each jewel. These jewels attract the eye through their originality, finesse, and delicate forms. Each jewel, being metal, will gradually patinate/oxidate with time, their form evolves also, all whilst retaining their authenticity and charm. This traditional Savoir-Faire is used for jewelry, handbags, and interior decoration using copper, brass, and silver. By associating the traditional with contemporary design, Soninké Jewelry is a timeless accessory for any outfit.
